Realistic Medicine Clinical Lead / Consultant in Public Health
I joined Information Services Division of NHS National Services Scotland in September 2014. I qualified as a doctor from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1997 and after a period working in hospital medicine specialised in public health medicine. Within public health medicine I have developed expertise in the use of information to support population health and improve healthcare.
In my current position as a Consultant in Public Health Medicine for ISD I have a portfolio based broadly on healthcare quality. This includes providing clinical leadership and expertise for the Scottish Healthcare Audits, quality indicators, benchmarking and generic public health advice. I am a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health and hold a Masters in Quality and Safety in Healthcare from Imperial College. I am a Scottish Quality and Safety Fellow (C9).
